Aero
Built for time trial speed
Time trial is a discipline of margins. Watts saved to drag, watts lost to friction, seconds gained or lost in fit and closure. A dedicated TT shoe exists for one reason: to give the rider every one of those margins back. O2C's Aero range is engineered around that goal — a shoe built specifically for the demands of the race against the clock.
What defines an aero cycling shoe
A true time-trial shoe differs from a road or triathlon shoe in three ways:
- Smooth, low-drag upper — no exposed straps, no protruding buckles, no textured overlays. Every surface is engineered to move air cleanly.
- Integrated closure — hidden, flush or fully enclosed. The mechanism disappears into the shoe silhouette.
- Streamlined silhouette — a narrower, more tapered profile that reduces frontal area and encourages clean airflow over the foot and ankle.
Everything else — power transfer, fit, comfort — has to remain uncompromised. Aero without power is a slow shoe.
Our approach
O2C's dedicated Aero shoe is in development. It draws on the same anatomical last philosophy that shapes our Axis and Vector platforms, then engineers away every surface feature that costs watts:
- 100% carbon-fibre sole — the same power transfer as our race shoes.
- Seamless, low-drag upper — designed for airflow, not aesthetics.
- Fully integrated closure system — no exposed dials or straps.
- Standard and wide fits across our full size range.
